Shakti Soundar Rajan wrote and directed Teddy, a fantasy action movie in Tamil that will be released in 2021. As a special character in the movie, a teddy bear plays the title role. Arya and Sayyeshaa play the lead roles. In the movie, Sathish, Karunakaran, and Magizh Thirumeni have supporting roles. Film is produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under his production company, Studio Green, and the music is composed by D. Imman.

It is the second Tamil motion-capture movie after Kochadaiiyaan and the first Tamil movie to use an Indian animation studio to create a unique animated character (2014).

On March 12, 2021, Hotstar released the movie all over the world. Critics generally gave the movie mixed reviews.
