Riteish Deshmukh plays the title character in Mister Mummy, a 2022 Hindi-language comedy drama film directed by Shaad Ali and starring Genelia D'Souza. When the movie came out, it received incredibly bad reviews.

The story of Vicky Pet Se, in which Kolkata-based producer Akash Chatterjee wanted Ayushmann Khurrana to star, was revealed to T-Series in 2019. The movie will be co-produced by T-Series. The plot of Mister Mummy is identical to that of his script, but Chatterjee claims he wasn't given enough credit. The Mister Mummy poster is similar to the Vicky Pet Se poster.
