Comrade in America (abbreviated as CIA) is a 2017 Malayalam-language
adventure film directed by Amal Neerad and starring Dulquer Salmaan and
Karthika Muralidharan. Gopi Sundar composed the music, and Renadive handled
the cinematography. The film was released on May 5, Karl Marx's birthday. The
plot revolves around Aji (Dulquer Salmaan), a communist from Kerala who
travels illegally to the United States via Latin America and the Mexican
border in order to see his girlfriend Sarah (Karthika Muralidharan) before she
is forced to marry someone else.
